The Tennessee Chiropractic Association (TCA) recently announced that Cassie Hulme, co-founder and Clinic Administrator of Active Sports Therapy in Hendersonville, has been named the 2025 Chiropractic Assistant of the Year.
“Cassie embodies what it means to dream big and work tirelessly to make those dreams a reality,” said Tiffany Stevens, Executive Director of the TCA. “Her service, innovation and passion for elevating the chiropractic assistant profession inspire not only her peers but the entire chiropractic community. We are thrilled to honor her with this peer-nominated award.”
A Hendersonville native and steadfast member of the Chiropractic Assistants of Tennessee, Hulme exemplifies the Association’s vision for outstanding professionalism in her field. Since co-founding Active Sports Therapy in 2009 with her husband, Dr. Jason Hulme, Cassie has played a vital role in every aspect of the clinic’s operations — from administration and branding to mentoring interns and student doctors.
She is licensed as a Chiropractic Therapy Assistant in Tennessee and also holds national certifications as a Certified Chiropractic Clinical Assistant and Certified Physician Practice Manager. Hulme serves on the Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards’ CCCA committee, where she advocates for higher standards for chiropractic assistants nationwide.
“I am truly honored to receive this recognition from my peers,” Hulme said. “Chiropractic assistants play such an important role in the success of our practices, and I love serving in a way that elevates others and shows how vital CAs are to patient care. It takes a team, and one of the most meaningful aspects of my role is ensuring everyone around me has what they need to perform at their best.”
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Hulme is an active community leader and volunteer. She has served as PTO President, earning recognition for her inclusive leadership, and was named Optimist of the Year by the Hendersonville Optimist Club in only her second year of involvement. Above all, she is most proud of her role as wife and mother to two daughters.
“What sets Cassie apart is her ability to balance visionary leadership with hands-on dedication,” Stevens added. “From mentoring the next generation of chiropractic professionals to building systems that strengthen her clinic and community, her outstanding achievements are making an immediate and lasting impact.”

Hulme accepted the award at a luncheon held during the Southern Chiropractic Conference hosted by TCA in Murfreesboro on Aug. 16. This annual event welcomed over 600 participants for clinical education sessions on topics impacting chiropractic and health care in Tennessee. For more information about the TCA, visit www.TNChiro.com.
