On his wedding anniversary in 2009, Dr. Hulme celebrated another significant milestone: his graduation from Logan College of Chiropractic. Shortly thereafter, with unwavering support from his wife Cassie, he founded the Active Spine and Joint Center in Hendersonville, TN. Dr. Hulme has a particular expertise in assisting athletes across all skill levels. His dedication to the running community is evident, having served as the Medical Director for the Hendersonville Half Marathon for over seven years.
A staunch advocate for chiropractic research, education, and mentorship, Dr. Hulme continually refines his patient care approach, drawing from the latest findings in movement and pain science. In 2022, he made significant contributions to a major publication authored by a globally renowned physical therapist. Among his numerous credentials, Dr. Hulme is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician® and holds a Diplomate in Medical Acupuncture. As an extension faculty member for over five universities, he offers clinical internships and is a nationally recognized speaker, celebrated for his impactful and inspiring presentations.
In 2017, Gov. Haslam appointed Dr. Hulme to the TN Board of Chiropractic Examiners, where he now holds a leadership role. Just two years into his tenure, the Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards named him committee chair, allowing him to further his vision of enhancing patient care quality in the community.
A testament to his dedication and excellence, the Tennessee Chiropractic Association honored Dr. Hulme as the 2020 Chiropractor of the Year, recognizing his remarkable achievements in just over a decade of practice.
Outside of his professional commitments, Dr. Hulme cherishes his leisure time. He enjoys playing pickle ball with Cassie and shooting hoops with their two daughters, Amlyn and Elleigh.

What services do you offer?
We offer a range of services including chiropractic care, sports injury rehabilitation, and many other physical therapies.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes, we welcome both in-network and out-of-network insurance plans. With thousands of policies, each with its own set of details, we’re here to assist you in understanding your specific benefits and any available discounts.
Do I need a referral to make an appointment?
Most plans do not require a referral. Don’t worry – we’ll check that prior to your arrival when we look for your available benefits and discounts.
How long is a typical appointment?
Most appointments usually last between 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the nature of the treatment. For your first appointment, please allow up to 90 minutes.

We keep flexible early and later hours to try and meet the demands of our community.
